The Pork Book

Though I'd share this with everyone. Its pretty interesting.
Its a list of some of the most egregious pork spending projects for FY 2006.
Let me know if you find anything interesting and I'll put it on the site's pork page.
Enjoy!

Some Good News!

While the debt and the deficit are still ahuge problem it has recently been anounced that the deficit has been reduced to $250 billion. I wouldn't take this to mean that its no longer a problem, the debt is still $8.5 trillion and $250 billion is still a large amount of money. But, it is definitly some positive news. I would be reluctant to give Bush and the Republicans credit for reducing the deficit since, after all they did create the problem, but, I am hopefull that id this trend continues we may see a budget surplus in the near future. A budget surplus, if it could be sustained, would essentialy eliminate the problem of the national debt because the debt is only dangerous as long as it is growing. This is a very positive development that I am extremly excited about.
